Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
PB Scoreboard is run by SGEnterprise Consulting Ltd, trading as No Fuss Host ("we", "us"), in New Zealand. We collect as little as we can, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. This policy follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Spectators
You can watch without an account and without giving us any personal details.
- Team alerts. If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a push address (a random web address that lets us send a notification to that browser) and we store the teams you ticked. There's no name or email attached. Untick your teams or block notifications to stop them.
- Your device. The app keeps a few things in your browser's local storage, such as the events you've watched and your sound setting, so it opens where you left off. This stays on your device.
Clubs and hosts
- Accounts. A username, an optional display name, and your password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text). We set one cookie to keep you logged in.
- Event data. Team names, schedules, scores, game logs and settings you enter. Anyone with an event's code can see its games, and results you publish appear on the public results page.
- Paint sign-out. The name and signature of whoever signs out paint, and the number of cases. This is visible only to your club's logged-in hosts. Only per-team case totals are shown publicly.
- Team registration and waivers. When a club lets teams register online, we keep the team name, the captain's name, email and phone, each player's or assistant's name and shirt number, and each waiver signature: the signer's typed name, their drawn signature, the time, the waiver wording they agreed to, and the IP address and browser used. For under-18s we also keep the parent or guardian's name and signature. Only the hosting club's logged-in hosts can see these, and the captain can see their own team's details. Only team names are shown publicly. The club decides what the waiver says and is responsible for it; we keep it on their behalf.
- Contact. If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply and look after your account.
Technical information
Like any website, our servers and our network provider see your IP address and browser type when you visit. We use this to keep the service running and secure (for example, to limit repeated login attempts) and don't use it to profile you.
Where it's kept and who else is involved
- Hetzner (Germany) hosts our servers and the data above.
- GitHub (United States) keeps a private, daily backup copy of that data, so nothing is lost if a server fails. Only we can access it.
- Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from attacks, so your requests pass through its global network.
- Your browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla) delivers team alerts.
These providers process information only to provide their service to us. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Event data and published results are kept for as long as your club uses PB Scoreboard, so seasons and stats stay complete. If your club leaves, we delete its account and unpublished data on request; published results may be kept unless you ask us to remove them. Alert subscriptions are dropped when they stop working. Registrations and signed waivers are deleted when the club deletes the event or season; a team's own are deleted if it withdraws or the club removes it. A club may need signed waivers for some time after an event, so ask the club first if you want yours removed. Deleted information can stay in our backup copies for a while longer.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected]. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell clubs directly about anything significant.
